Database
How do you connect to your database?
Where to find your connection details in the panel, plus sample connection code.
When you order a database plan, the panel shows the host, port, database name, username and password. Pass these to your application as environment variables.
DB_HOST=db.clodo.net
DB_PORT=3306
DB_NAME=my_database
DB_USER=my_user
DB_PASSWORD=your-panel-passwordNode.js example
import mysql from "mysql2/promise";
const pool = mysql.createPool({
host: process.env.DB_HOST,
port: Number(process.env.DB_PORT),
user: process.env.DB_USER,
password: process.env.DB_PASSWORD,
database: process.env.DB_NAME,
connectionLimit: 5,
});Keep the connection pool small. Your plan has a connection limit and idle connections will fill it up.
Backups
Automatic backups are not included in the plans. You need to take a regular copy of your database yourself: export it with mysqldump or pg_dump and keep it in your own environment.
