How do you connect to your database?

When you order a database plan, the panel shows the host, port, database name, username and password. Pass these to your application as environment variables.

Keep the connection pool small. Your plan has a connection limit and idle connections will fill it up.

Backups

Automatic backups are not included in the plans. You need to take a regular copy of your database yourself: export it with mysqldump or pg_dump and keep it in your own environment.
