Your Own Server (Advanced) guides
Redis is the premier in-memory data store for leaderboards, user session persistence, and object caching. Because default configurations lack authentication and memory caps, hardening is vital.
1. Password and Memory Quota Configuration#
Define `requirepass` and `maxmemory` explicitly inside `/etc/redis/redis.conf`.

Clodo Control Panel Quick Method
Separate Redis serviceRedis is opened as its own plan under the Managed Database category. You do not install an OS or configure redis-server; the credentials appear on the Database card of the service detail page.
Exécution étape par étape :
- 1Open a Redis plan with the RAM you need from the Managed Database category.
- 2Take the host, port and password from the 'Database' card on the service detail page.
- 3The connection is not encrypted; keep the password in your app's environment variables and do not connect from a public client.
- 4Plan for what happens when memory fills using the maxmemory-policy section of this guide -- cache data is not durable.
