How do you upload your Discord bot?

You can upload your bot files from the panel or pull them from a Git repository. You set the start command in the plan settings.

Entry file

Node.js bots usually use index.js and Python bots use main.py. The start command of your plan must point at that file.

Dependencies

If you upload package.json or requirements.txt, dependencies are installed automatically on the first run.

Token safety

Never hard code your bot token. Define it as an environment variable. A token written into the source is compromised the moment you share your files.

If your token leaks, reset it in the Discord developer portal immediately. A leaked token hands your bot to someone else.
